研究課題名:      「東アジア大都市における都市再生戦略に関する比較研究」

研究代表者:      政策・メディア研究科 助教授 小林博人

 

研究課題:

主要な東アジア大都市を対象に各都市の都市再生戦略の現状を比較調査するとともに、それらの他都市への応用可能性を検討し,東京都市圏で必要とされるいくつかの都市再生施策の有効性を実証的に検証することを研究課題とする。

 

研究の概要:

本研究は、慶應義塾大学と連携するアジア諸国の大学とが毎年執り行う国際シンポジウムTHE INTER-UNIVERSITY SEMINAR ON ASIAN MEGA-CITIES2006年大会において取り上げられるアジアメガシティにおける都市環境の諸問題に対する研究発表において、各国各研究者の研究を比較し議論することにより、今後のアジア諸国における都市再生の指針を得るとともに、東京圏における都市更新の知見を得ることを目指した。

2006年度はタイ国チェラロンコン大学にて行われ、7カ国10大学から45の研究発表があった。

発表の内容を大別すると、1.都市計画、インフラ関連、社会構造変化など、2.コミュニティの形、商業活動およびハウジングなど、3.ランドスケープおよびオープンスペースなど、4.ツーリズムおよびソフトウェアなど、となり、傾向として、都市の発展を見込む際の新たな都市に向ける視点として、ハードな建築やインフラ関連のみならず、ソフトなプログラム、経済活動、居住者問題などがこれからの都市に求められる、という研究発表の内容となった。東京圏に求められる次世代の都市モデルは、都市基盤のみならず、コミュニティ、ツーリズム、商業活動などのヒューマンアクティビティと空間の関係に傾注することが求められるという知見を得た。
