Composition of the No.658 plasmid insert

To find out which gene was responsible for the binding activity in protein pool No. 658, we sequenced the insert DNA from P. furiosus in the corresponding plasmid. The sequencing results were analyzed by BLAST (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/BLAST/), which showed that the inserted sequence of 4.88kb includes 4 complete genes (PF1684, PF1685, PF1686 and PF1687) and 2 truncated genes (PF11683 and PF1688) from P.furiosus genome as shown in Figure 2.
