Internet and New Battery Society consortium
* This laboratory has been completed.
Objectives
This research project focuses on the high-level integration of the Internet and battery technology, establishing them in a way that they can be utilized to build symbiotic, disaster-resistant local communities. Leveraging strengths of SFC, namely the Internet and research resources related to the environment, the research will lead the creation of a safer, more comfortable and more sustainable regional battery-type “Internet Battery Society”, rather than the smart cities led by electric power companies.
The project consists of the following research areas.
- Gain an understanding of the potential of the region and generate an implementation strategy
- Clarify natural energy distribution and understand its full utilization potential; integrate fundraising mechanisms and environmental measures
- Develop Internet battery technology
- Use natural energy and waste energy at maximum via active battery utilization; efficient utilization of electrical appliances and network via DC(direct current) power feeds using PoE (Power on Ethernet)
- Design implementation scheme for regional space and community
- Design energy storage special zone space and the system, and also design a community participation scheme and a transportation system for waste energy storage within and outside of the region; consider harmony with regional ecosystem; develop electric cars and transportation modes that are compatible with regional batteries
The overall aim of this consortium is for as many people as possible to learn about the results of this research, and to integrate the storage cell with the Internet to build social infrastructure with superior disaster prevention, disaster support and renewable energy utilization qualities. Members participating in the consortium will, along with working together on this research, strengthen their knowledge of this area and utilize the results of the research for business activities.
