Objective
The Internet is much more than a type of communication. It is a communication tool that greatly influences our perception of time and space because it allows us to instantly connect to the global space.
However, as humans we send and receive information required for our social life, build upon it and make decisions by communicating via different media. Therefore, the Internet should take in attributes and experiences to function as a faster and wider communication infrastructure, resulting in drastic changes in the way we govern our existing social system and its basic functions including the law, judiciary, administration, education and social welfare and their roles. With this in mind, this laboratory aims to combine the “real”society and the Internet.
Goal
This laboratory researches, develops and suggests the following from both technical and social viewpoints:
- Dissemination and improvement of ultra-high speed network technology
- Implementation of an actual space Internet
- Improvement of laws, institutions and rules
- Governance in a global space
- Enhancement of literacy, the learning environment and education
