「S-face」Vol.36に松川昌平准教授が登場！

慶應義塾大学SFC研究所では、海外に向けて研究者を紹介するウェブサイト「S-face」を公開しています。「S-face」は、ウェブサイト（英語）、動画（英語）、広報誌（英語/日本語）という3種類の異なるメディアを通じ、シリーズ記事として、多角的に研究者を紹介しています。
vol.36では環境情報学部の松川昌平准教授が登場しました。
ーコンピュータの中で建築を育てるアルゴリズミックデザインー
自然現象の背後に必ず物理法則があるように、形の背後にある法則性を見定め、それをコンピュータプログラムへ書き下し、環境に適応したデザインを探索するデザイン手法を「アルゴリズミックデザイン」といいます。コンピュータの中で建築を探索するというその手法は「植物を育てることに似ている」と話す松川昌平准教授は、アルゴリズミックデザインを用いることで、画一的になってしまった街並みを変え、環境に適合した多彩な建築群を生み出そうとしています。ぜひご覧ください。
